Valene Peffer

Valene Peffer has extensive experience in legal and compliance roles within the automotive and financial sectors. Currently serving as Legal Counsel and Company Secretary, as well as Data Protection Officer at Volkswagen Group Africa since March 2019, Valene previously held several key positions at BMW Financial Services, including Compliance Program Manager for North America and Head of Legal and Compliance. Valene's earlier roles also encompass the position of Compliance Manager at FNB South Africa and Legal Advisor at the South African Reserve Bank, along with a Legal Risk Consultant role at Investec. Valene's educational background includes an LLB Law Degree from Nelson Mandela University and an Advanced Diploma in International & Central Banking from the University of South Africa.
