Marcin Płóciennik, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Marcin started their career at ATREM S.A. as a Java Developer before transitioning into the role of Implementation Engineer/IT Project Manager and eventually becoming the Head of Implementation and Service/Senior IT Project Manager. In 2016, Marcin joined the Project Management Institute Poland Chapter as the Poznan Branch Portfolio Director. Marcin also served as a Board Member at Wspólnota Mieszkaniowa Bolka 2 (Housing Community) from 2016 to 2019. Currently, Marcin is working at Volkswagen Group Polska, where they have served as a Senior IT Architect and Project Manager before taking on the position of Head of Project Management Department in 2022. In their current role, Marcin is responsible for managing strategic projects/programs, ensuring successful project delivery, and providing support to internal customers.
Marcin Płóciennik, PMP holds a Master's Degree in Design and Maintenance of Information Systems from the Poznan University of Technology, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Marcin also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the same university's Faculty of Electrical Engineering from 1999 to 2002.
In terms of postgraduate education, Marcin completed a Postgraduate Course in Modern IT Project Management at the Uniwersytet WSB Merito Poznań from 2013 to 2014.
Marcin has also obtained several certifications in the field of project management. Marcin became a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute in November 2015. Furthermore, they hold certifications in Agile project management, including Certified SAFe® 6 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. (obtained in July 2023), AgilePM Foundation from APMG International (obtained in March 2018), and Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org (obtained in October 2019).
