David C. Powels

David C. Powels is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Management of the VW Brand responsible for Finance and the Brand Group Core at Volkswagen Group since 1998. In addition to this role, David has held various leadership positions, including Member of the Board and Executive Vice President of Finance and IT at SEAT, SA, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at SEAT CODE. David's past roles include First Vice President and Executive Commercial Vice President at SAIC VOLKSWAGEN, and President and CEO of Volkswagen South America. David holds multiple degrees in business and accounting, including an International Directors Programme certification from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Port Elizabeth, graduating Cum Laude.
