Dr. Samuel Schacher

Dr. Samuel Schacher is a seasoned professional in the field of autonomous driving and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Deputy Head of the AI Driving and Platform sector at Volkswagen Group since July 2021, where responsibilities include project leadership in trajectory-planning research and managing a SCRUM team for technical software improvements. Prior experience includes co-founding a medical technology venture focusing on AI solutions for stroke recovery, participation in Entrepreneur First, and extensive research roles at Volkswagen AG, where significant contributions were made in behavior prediction and automated driving technologies. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computational Engineering Science from Technische Universität Berlin, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field.
