Mohamed Salem

Mohamed Salem is an experienced professional in the automotive and technology sectors, currently serving as the Head of Over-the-Air (OTA) Update at Volkswagen Group since November 2021 and previously leading the OTA Update Department at Volkswagen AG from May 2020. With a strong focus on development, integration, and rollout of online remote updates across various Volkswagen Group brands, Mohamed has held multiple leadership roles, including Head of Project Management & System Integration at Volkswagen Group China and IT Program Manager for Connected Car backends at Volkswagen AG. Prior experience includes roles in software solution delivery and quality assurance at Capgemini Engineering and SQS Software Quality Systems AG, alongside a research engineer position at Deutsche Telekom AG. Mohamed holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from Kiel University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from The German University in Cairo.
