Thomas van Loon has extensive experience in various managerial roles within Volkswagen AG, currently serving as Business Development Manager for the Volkswagen Platform Business since November 2014. Previous positions at Volkswagen AG include roles in corporate strategy, project management in business intelligence, and purchasing project management for midsize cars, A-SUVs, and electric vehicles. Thomas also held the position of Commodity Manager Interior at Volkswagen do Brasil from September 2013 to October 2014. Earlier experience includes managing purchasing teams for interior trim parts and electronics, as well as serving as General Manager of Production Purchasing at Volkswagen Group of America. Thomas van Loon holds a Master’s Degree in International Business & Production Management from HTW Berlin.
