Mark Thomas

Mark Thomas possesses extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently serving as a Biomedical Volunteer for Project C.U.R.E. since April 2025. A longstanding tenure with Volkswagen of America, Inc. commenced in March 2000, where Mark has held multiple senior positions, including Director of the VWGoA Arizona Proving Grounds and Senior Director of Warranty & Technical Field Operations. Prior roles include service as a VWoA Service & Quality Resident in Germany and various management positions overseeing warranty and service systems. Mark's career began at Nissan of South Africa as an Engineering Graduate Trainee from January 1988 to May 1991 and later included key roles at Volkswagen Group South Africa from June 1991 to February 2000. Mark's academic credentials include degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Port Elizabeth and Quality Assurance from the University of Pretoria.
