Melissa Hill

Melissa Hill is a Senior Imaging Scientist and Global Research Lead at Volpara Health Canada Inc. since July 2025, with a background as a Consultant Imaging Scientist at Volpara Health since February 2016. Expertise lies in the physics of medical imaging, particularly digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis. Previous roles include serving as a Biomedical Engineering Consultant at McMaster University in 2014, and a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto from 2005 to 2014. Early career experiences include engineering positions at AECL and research assistant roles at McMaster University. Melissa Hill holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Engineering Physics, with a minor in Business from McMaster University.
