Sarah Ray has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. In 2008, they began their career as a Health Educator at District Health Department #10. In 2011, they moved on to become a Community Outreach Coordinator at the Grand Traverse County Health Department. In 2012, they were appointed Director of Employee Wellbeing at Northwestern Michigan College. In 2013, they became the Performance Program Manager at Fort Fit. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at EXOS in two roles; Health Fitness Specialist and Program Manager. In 2018, they became Program Manager at Boeing and in 2019, they took on the role of Head of Business Development and Program Development Manager at Volt Athletics. In their roles, Sarah has been responsible for activities such as wellness seminars and incentive programs, physical training, supplier performance, resource management, leader engagement and goal setting, as well as providing health education, information and trainings.
Sarah Ray holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Community Health Education & Health Promotion from Central Michigan University, which they obtained between 2007 and 2009. Sarah also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Northern Michigan University, which they obtained between 2003 and 2006. Sarah has obtained several certifications, including a Tactical Strength & Conditioning Facilitator from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in August 2019, a Certified CrossFit Trainer (CCFT) from CrossFit, Inc. in April 2019, an XPS- Performance Specialist from EXOS in August 2015, a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist from the American Council on Exercise in January 2015, a Level 2 from CrossFit, Inc. in January 2015, a Sport Performance Coach from USA Weightlifting in January 2015, a Health Coach from the American Council on Exercise in September 2013, a Level 1 from CrossFit, Inc. in June 2012, and a First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross.
