Dushan Hanuska

Dushan Hanuska has an extensive work experience in the tech industry. Dushan began their career in 2006 as an Identity Management Consultant for Agreon. Dushan then went on to work as a Senior Software Engineer for Atlassian, where they helped to develop the popular bug/issue tracking and project management web application JIRA. In 2009, they joined HotHouse Interactive as a Senior Developer, and was later promoted to a Technical Lead managing a team of Java developers. In 2011, they worked as a Senior Solutions Developer for nbn™ Australia, where they lead the team of developers in the redesign and relaunch of the corporate website. In 2012, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for Live Connected, a start-up MVNO, where they wore several hats and maintained the public-facing website. In 2013, they joined News Corp Australia as a Senior Technical Lead, forming a Development Support team and migrating development tools from the data centre to AWS. In 2017, they worked as a Delivery Manager for Cammy, a company operating in the market of home alarm systems. In 2018, they worked as a Delivery Manager for Nirovision, a company formed as a result of a split from Cammy and pivot from consumer to business market focus. Dushan also worked as a Digital Technical Lead for Volt Bank.

Dushan Hanuska completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science and Information Technology from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave between 1993 and 1997. Dushan then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in the same field from the same university, which they completed in 1999. Prior to that, they attended Gymnázium v Šahách from 1988 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Dushan Hanuska has obtained several certifications, including Sun Certified Enterprise Architect, Part 1 from Sun Microsystems in 2006, Sun Certified Business Component Developer from Sun Microsystems in 2005, IBM Certified Solution Developer, WebSphere Portal V5.1 from IBM in 2005, OMG Certified UML Professional from OMG in 2005, Sun Certified Web Component Developer from Sun Microsystems in 2002, Sun Certified Programmer from Sun Microsystems in 2001, and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance in 2011.
