Filippo Medri has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering, machine learning, and software development. In 2019, they worked as a Data Engineer at Voltaiq, where they were involved in building import pipelines for their software analytics platform specializing in batteries and energy storage.

Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, Medri served as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at DocDecode, an AI company that converts unstructured written information into structured data.

In 2018, they were a Data Scientist at Metis, where they completed various data science projects as part of an intensive three-month program. These projects focused on machine learning, statistical learning, data acquisition, feature engineering, and data visualization.

Before that, Medri worked as a Research Fellow at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2016 to 2017. Here they were involved in research related to high throughput genome sequence machine data output analysis.

From 2011 to 2016, they held the position of System Architect and Development Lead at Techimp HQ. In this role, Medri led the development of virtualized web applications for monitoring high voltage systems and was responsible for designing feature extraction and data integration between smart sensors and collection systems.

filippo started their career as a Software Engineer at Finsoft srl from 2008 to 2011 and worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Bologna from 2003 to 2004.

Filippo Medri pursued their higher education at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. From 1997 to 2003, they completed their undergraduate degree in Computer Science, focusing on Probability and Statistics. Building on this foundation, they further pursued their academic endeavors, earning a PhD in Computer Science from the same institution from 2004 to 2008. Their doctoral research concentrated on Data Structures and algorithms Analysis.
