Nicolas Kinich Hernandez Sanchez, PhD has a varied work experience. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Trainee Chemical Supervisor at Comisión Federal de Electricidad, a Joint Researcher Intern at Instituto de Ingenieria Universidad Veracruzana from 2010 to 2011, and a Researcher PHD Student at the University of Southampton from 2015 to 2022. During their time at the University of Southampton, they also served as an Inward Visits Coordinator and Post Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2019, they worked as a Plant Operator at FIBERIGHT LIMITED and a Pre-sessional Helper at the University of Southampton Students' Union in 2017. Currently, they are a Research and Development Engineer at VoltStorage.

Nicolas Kinich Hernandez Sanchez, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Electrochemistry from the University of Southampton in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Technologies from the University of Southampton in 2014. Nicolas Kinich also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Veracruzana in 2011. Additionally, they obtained two certifications in 2013, a B1 from the Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch in July and a TOEFL International (iBT) from Educational Testing Services (ETS) with a score of 101 points in June.
