Pietro Marconi is a Visiting Scholar at the Carnegie Institution for Science since March 2023, focusing on biomass, biogas, biomethane, and natural gas. Previously, Pietro completed a Consultant Internship at Elevate Environmental Consultants Inc. in 2022, where evaluations of environmental risks for commercial and residential developments took place. At Berkeley Lab from January 2021 to April 2022, Pietro conducted research on pollution influenced by road-rail traffic and wildfires while performing instrument calibration. An Undergraduate Research Assistant position at the University of California, Berkeley involved experimenting with electrochemical methods for detecting heavy metals in water. Early experience includes roles as a Student Tutor and Student Laboratory Assistant at Berkeley City College. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Atmosphere and Energy from Stanford University, a part-time Stanford Ignite Program in Entrepreneurship from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
