Alper Aydemir

CEO at Volumental

Alper Aydemir has worked in a variety of roles in the technology field. Alper began their career in 2005 as a Research Intern at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2008, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). In 2012, they became the CEO and CTO and co-founder of Volumental, where they did a variety of tasks from computer vision engineering to sales. In 2013, they became a Technologist - Research, Computer Vision Group at NASA - Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they worked on research and development in computer vision and robotic perception. In 2022, they became an Investor at rerun.io.

Alper Aydemir completed their PhD in Robotics and Computer Vision from KTH Royal Institute of Technology between 2008 and 2012. Alper obtained their B.Sc. in Mechatronics from Sabanci University between 2002 and 2006. Alper also obtained their Baccalauréat from Lycée Saint-Joseph Istanbul between 1995 and 2002.
