Volunteer State Community College

Volunteer State Community College (Vol State) provides degree programs and career training for residents of Sumnter County, Tennessee. Located in the city of Gallatin, Vol State has more than 70 programs from which to choose, all leading either to a career or to four-year university transfer. Degree and certificate offerings are granted throughfive different divisions, including the Division of Allied Health and the Division of Humanities. Among the programs offered by these divisions are degrees in Dental Assisting, Radiology, Accounting, Paralegal Studies, Liberal Arts, Theatre, Veterinary Technology and Pre-Law. Distance learning options, including an online degree program, are also offered. Student services are provided through the student help center and include the office of career placement, the advising center, the language center, health services and the office of veterans affairs. Students with financial need may require additional help paying for tuition, fees and materials.
