Sandra Romero has worked in various roles since 2004. Sandra began their career as a Software Automation Developer at Florida Power & Light Company, where they designed, implemented, and performed regular releases with new features that positively impacted the daily functions of 300 users. During their time there, they also designed and implemented a new process that ran without disruption. In 2017, they took on a volunteer role as a UX Designer/UX Researcher at the Rare Genomics Institute. The following year, they became a Volunteer Mentor to UX Research projects at http://innata.io/. In 2019, they took on a Mentor UX/UI role at Skilled Inc., where they provided guidance to aspiring designers and helped 81 students with an experience rating of 4.93 out of 5. Sandra then joined UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) in 2011, where they held the roles of Lead Knowledge Engineer, UI Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer. In their current role as Technical Product Manager at VolunteerHub, they recommend and drives initiatives based on current and future objectives.

Sandra Romero began their education in 2002 when they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University with a specialty in Software Engineering. Sandra continued their education in 2014 when they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Human Factors in Information Design (UXD) from Bentley University.
