Community Advocate at Volunteering WA

Madeleine Nicholas is a small business owner and community advocate with extensive experience in creating self-advocacy workshops tailored for young individuals in the disability community. Since April 2022, Madeleine has been a self-employed facilitator at LighteningUp Workshops, focusing on empowering participants to assert themselves, establish healthy boundaries, and navigate bureaucratic systems such as the NDIS. Additionally, Madeleine serves as a community advocate at Volunteering WA and Carers WA, while also maintaining a writing practice since July 2020. Educationally, Madeleine holds a Certificate 4 in Youth Work from North Metropolitan TAFE, earned in June 2015.
