Lynn Helmer

Lynn Helmer currently serves as the Medical Director at Volunteers in Medicine since December 2018, where the focus is on providing consulting services to small professional businesses and larger healthcare organizations, including executive coaching and strategic planning. Lynn has been the President of DRD Consulting, Inc. since 2004. Previous roles include Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs at Riverview Medical Center from 2002 to 2004, and Chief Medical Officer/Vice President of Medical Affairs at Shore Memorial Hospital from 2000 to 2002, where Lynn established the first full-time CMO/VPMA role and initiated key programs in quality, risk management, and emergency preparedness. Lynn holds an MD from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, an MBA from Drexel University LeBow School of Business, a Master of Science in Chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology, and an AB in Art History and Chemistry from Wellesley College.
