Tere Pettitt

Tere Pettitt has extensive experience in leadership roles within the healthcare and nonprofit sectors. As President & CEO of Volunteers of America-Greater New York since May 2002, Tere Pettitt oversees approximately 90 programs aimed at assisting individuals and families in the New York metropolitan area. Previously, as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at United Hospital Medical Center from May 1977 to May 2002, Tere Pettitt managed all aspects of the hospital's healthcare delivery system, including both inpatient and outpatient services. Throughout the career, Tere Pettitt has demonstrated a commitment to improving community health and wellness through effective program management and organizational leadership.
