Victor Ortiz

Victor Ortiz is the AVP of Human Resources at Volunteers of America - Greater New York, Inc. Victor has over 25 years of experience in the human resources field.

Ortiz began their career as a human resources intern at a local hospital. Victor then went on to work for a large corporation, where they were responsible for managing the HR department. After several years, Ortiz decided to start their own HR consulting firm.

In 2015, Ortiz joined Shine Early Learning as Senior Vice President. In this role, they oversaw the delivery of Head Start services for a select group of partners. Victor also built and developed relationships with C-suite leaders across the partner programs.

In 2020, Ortiz was named Top 100 Visionaries in Education by the Global Forum for Education & Learning. Victor is currently the AVP of Human Resources at Volunteers of America - Greater New York, Inc.

Victor Ortiz's educational career began with him getting a BA in English from Bucknell University. Victor then got a certification in Human Resources from Cornell University. Finally, they attended Don Bosco Prep.
