Nicole Weiss is an experienced habitat conservation professional with a focus on marine biology, particularly related to sea turtles. Currently serving as the Habitat Conservation Plan Field Manager and Sea Turtle Lighting Specialist for the County of Volusia since May 2020, Nicole specializes in environmental code compliance, nighttime lighting surveys, and conducting educational outreach. Previous roles include Habitat Conservation Plan Assistant with Volusia County Government, Zoo Teacher at Central Florida Zoological & Botanical Gardens, and Educator at SEA LIFE Aquariums. Nicole has also contributed as an Apprentice Biologist at Clearwater Marine Aquarium and a Sea Turtle Nesting and Habitat Conservation Intern at Volusia County Government. Nicole holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from Florida Southern College and an Associate of Arts from Valencia College.
