Karthik S began their career in 2013 as a Software Engineer at Synoption India Pvt Ltd, where they installed and configured WebLogic Server 8.1 on Sun Solaris and deployed WARS and EARS using WebLogic Admin Console as well as running scripts. In 2014, Karthik moved to Rrootshell Technologiiss Pvt Ltd as a Build and Release Engineer, where they were involved in S3 Buckets in AWS and storing files, enabling Versioning and security for files stored, and managing AWS EC2 instances utilizing Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing and Glacier for QA and UAT environments as well as infrastructure servers for GIT and Chef.

In 2016, Karthik joined Anthem, Inc. as a DevOps Engineer, where they created continuous integration/deployment with Application Release Automation by integrating and improving the client's existing infrastructure and build pipelines, largely aiming for autonomous automation when possible. karthik also worked extensively with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, ELB, Autoscaling Groups, IAM, CND, Cloud Trail, CloudWatch, NAT and RDS.

In 2017, Karthik moved to Kohl's as a DevOps Engineer, where they performed automated installations of Operating System using kickstart for Linux and developed the POCs for the migration of the DR project from On-Prem to AWS, and wrote Bash scripts for the change of IPS from on-Prem to AWS.

In 2019, Karthik joined Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a Cloud DevOps Operations Engineer, where they configured VMs availability sets using Azure portal to provide resiliency for IaaS based solution and scale sets using Azure Resource Manager to manage network traffic. karthik also configured Azure Backup service for taking backup of Azure VM and data on premise to Azure, built and installed servers through Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Azure Portal, and used Azure cloud services to perform various web operations in Azure App Service.

Most recently, in 2020, Karthik joined Volute Education as a Sr Cloud DevOps Engineer, where they installed and configured Splunk monitoring server, installed Splunk forwarded on all the nodes in the environment, designed AWS Cloud Formation templates to create custom sized VPC, subnets, NAT to deploy Web applications and database templates and designed roles and groups for users & resources using AWS Identity Access Management (IAM). karthik also deployed instances in AWS EC2 and used EBS stores for persistent storage, configured & supported storage level, used CloudFront to deliver content from AWS edge locations to users, and built end to end CI/CD Pipelines in Jenkins to retrieve code, compile applications, perform tests and push build artifacts to Nexus Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as a part of POC.

Karthik S completed a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad between 2009 and 2013.
