Suresh Balakrishnan

Suresh Balakrishnan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in purchasing and supplier management within the construction equipment industry, currently serving as Assistant General Manager - Purchasing (Operations) at Volvo Construction Equipment since August 2013. Suresh has successfully led project purchasing and business development, particularly in new machine introductions in collaboration with technology teams across India and Korea. Suresh's career also includes leadership roles in new product development sourcing and project purchasing, along with prior positions at John Deere Construction Equipment and Elgi Equipments, where skills in product launch and supplier development were honed. Suresh holds a Master of Engineering in Product Design & Development from Anna University Chennai and completed a leadership course at Volvo Group University in 2019.
