Andrew D. Lowery

Andrew D. Lowery, Ph.D., is a Senior System Engineer currently employed at Volvo Group since March 2020. With a robust academic background including a Ph.D. and two Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering, as well as dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer and Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University, Andrew has extensive experience in academia and industry. Previous roles include visiting scholar and adjunct assistant professor at West Virginia University, where Andrew engaged in research on energy systems and served on graduate student committees. Additionally, positions as Lead Scientist and Chief Technology Officer at Plasma Igniter, LLC, involved leading engineering design teams and managing innovative projects. Andrew also contributed to higher education as an adjunct professor at Fairmont State University and in various graduate assistant roles within the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources.
