David Oom

David Oom is an experienced project manager and engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry, currently serving as Project Manager - Quality at Volvo Trucks North America since April 2023. Prior to this role, David held various positions at Volvo Trucks, including Senior Engineer from June 2017 to April 2023 and multiple internships specializing in brake systems, vehicle control, and prototyping. David also contributed as a special event staff member for the Carolina Hurricanes and completed an engineering internship at AFEX Fire Suppression Systems. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, earned in 2017.
