Evan Kimbro is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in durability, reliability testing, and materials research. Currently serving as the Lead Durability and Reliability Test Engineer at Volvo Trucks North America since November 2019, Evan manages the D&R shop with expertise in hydraulics, fixturing, and general testing, including shaker testing on a 7-post 6 dof shaker table. Prior experience includes a role as Technical Lead at Gateway Materials Test Center, where Evan oversaw quality systems and maintained ISO 17025 accreditation. As a NanoComposites Lab Manager/Research Scientist at the Joint School of NanoScience and NanoEngineering, research focused on enhancing materials at the nano-scale. Earlier experience includes advanced diagnostics and repair as an ASE Master Auto Technician at Merchants Tire and Auto Centers. Evan holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
