Matthias Schiesser

Matthias Schiesser has a strong background in sales and trading. Matthias started their career at Bank Leu in 1992, where they worked in sales trading for equities, bonds, and Eurex until 2000. Matthias then moved on to Vontobel, where they worked as an Assistant Vice President in international equities sales trading until 2002. From 2002 to 2004, they worked at Julius Baer as an Assistant Vice President in salestrading for Swiss and EU equities. Matthias then joined Kepler Cheuvreux as a director for Pan Euro & Swiss equities salestrading from 2004 to 2010. After that, they worked at UBS as a director for equity salestrading in Switzerland, Europe, and the USA from 2010 to 2017. Currently, they are the Head of Sales Electronic Trading Solutions and an Executive Director at Vontobel, a position they have held since 2017.

Matthias Schiesser received their education in the field of banking and finance. Matthias attended KV Zürich from 1991 to 1993, where they earned a degree as a Kaufmännischer Angestellter specialized in Banking. Later, from 2005 to 2007, they attended the KV Business School Zürich, although no specific degree is mentioned. Their most recent educational accomplishment was from 2011 to 2013, when they pursued a DAS SFI Banking & Finance degree at the University of Bern in Switzerland, in collaboration with the University of Rochester.
