Bernie Murphy

Bernie Murphy serves as a Startup Advisor and Fractional COO at Eureka Advisors and holds a board member position at Vooks. Previously, Bernie was Chief Operating Officer at Epic for Kids, where collaboration with the CEO/Co-Founder led to the scaling of a leading children's reading platform, which was acquired for $500 million in 2021. Bernie has also held significant roles at Care.com, where operations and strategy functions were established, contributing to the company's $500 million acquisition, and at NerdWallet, where growth from 100 to over 450 employees occurred alongside an IPO in 2021. Bernie’s earlier experience includes consulting at Bain & Company, military service as a Captain in the United States Air Force, and software development at GollyGee Software. Bernie holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Cornell Engineering.
