Yuriy Kurylyak

Yuriy Kurylyak began their career as a Researcher at Ternopil National Economic University in 2007. From 2009 to 2010, they also worked as a University Lecturer at the same institution. In 2013, Yuriy became a Research Collaborator at Università della Calabria, where they focused on image analysis and pattern recognition. Yuriy joined Voovio in 2014 as a Senior Software Development Engineer, leading a team and working on various projects. In 2018, Yuriy joined Amazon as an Applied Scientist, where they built tools to detect and improve the quality of products in the Amazon catalog. In 2023, they returned to Voovio as the Chief AI Scientist, overseeing the development of AI technologies.

Yuriy Kurylyak obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from Università della Calabria from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Systems and Networks at Ternopil National Economic University from 2005 to 2006. Yuriy then completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the same university from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Yuriy Kurylyak has also obtained several certifications. Yuriy completed the Machine Learning Engineer Learning Path offered by Google in April 2023. In May 2017, they obtained certifications in Agile Project Management Foundations, Programming Foundations: Code Efficiency, Project Management Foundations, and Teamwork, all from LinkedIn.
