Baltasar Romero

Baltasar Romero has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Corporate Receptionist at Payán Hnos. S.A. until 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they served as an Industrial Injury Claims Administrator on a temporary basis at ASEPEYO. In 2008, they took on various roles in the hospitality industry while learning English. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Team Leader at Pret A Manger.

In 2012, Baltasar joined glh Hotels, where they held multiple positions. Baltasar began as a Hotel Receptionist and quickly took on the role of Reception Supervisor, training new employees. Baltasar also served as a Sales Executive & Administrator, managing group reservations and assisting with the migration from MS Office to Google. Eventually, they became a Reservations Team Manager, leading internal projects and implementing paperless workflow processes.

In 2017, Baltasar moved to PISTACHE HOSPITALITY GROUP LTD, where they served as a Reservations Manager at The Mandrake Hotel. Baltasar played a key role in setting up the reservations department and defining hotel processes for smooth operations. Baltasar also generated daily revenue reports and briefings to maximize revenue.

In 2019, they joined Marlin as a Reservations Manager. Baltasar led a team of 10 members providing sales and support to over 800 apartments. Through coaching and feedback, they improved team engagement and achieved performance and revenue targets.

In 2020, Baltasar enrolled in General Assembly as a Software Engineer Student. Baltasar learned various skills, including wireframe design, collaboration, and version control. Baltasar also completed a Full-Stack App project called GreenWorld, which focused on promoting sustainable businesses and communities.

In 2021, they interned as a Software Developer at futureCodersSE CIC, where they built a Progressive Web Application focused on climate change awareness using TypeScript and React.

Currently, Baltasar works at Vorboss as a Software Engineer, where they utilize their skills to develop software applications.

Baltasar Romero has a diverse education history. In 2020, they attended General Assembly and completed a Software Engineering Immersive program, focusing on computer software engineering. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2006, Baltasar pursued a Higher National Certificate in Business Administration and Finance at Instituto Mesa y López. In 2002 to 2004, they attended Colegio Salesiano, San Juan Bosco and earned a Foundation degree in Administrative Management. Additionally, they obtained certifications including the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate and PRINCE2 Practitioner Certificate in Project Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in September and October 2015 respectively.
