Sylvain Dugas

Sylvain Dugas has extensive experience in operations, management, and leadership roles. Sylvain currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Vortex Aquatic Structures International Inc. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Consultant in various industries from 2020 to 2021. Sylvain also held the position of Vice President Operations Canada at dormakaba from 2015 to 2020. Sylvain has a background in the pharmaceutical industry, with notable roles as Vice President Operational Excellence and Distribution, Vice President Operations, and Vice President Operational Excellence - Medicom at Pharmascience from 2003 to 2015. Before that, they were the Vice President Operations at Mitec Telecom from 2000 to 2003 and worked as the Materials Manager & Production Manager at Harris Corporation from 1996 to 2000. Sylvain started their career as a Plant Director at Polar Plastiques Ltee from 1992 to 1996 and then at Plastival Inc from 1989 to 1992.

Sylvain Dugas has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. Sylvain also holds another Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in "The Top 10 Project Management Mistakes—and How to Avoid Them" and "Everything as a Service (XaaS) is the Future of Business" from LinkedIn in February 2021 and January 2021, respectively.
