Sean Deery has been in the telecommunications industry for the past four years. In 2020, they began working as a Cloud Support Analyst for Votacall, where they have supported over 800 clients' network and phone systems on three different platforms. In this role, they have configured equipment, lead installs and created documentation for new and existing customers. Prior to this role, Deery held various positions at Granite Telecommunications from 2018-2020. As a DIA Technician, they resolved internet outages and quality issues by troubleshooting Routers with Customers, Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) Service Providers, and on-site contract technicians. Sean achieved Top 3 Highest Producing Technicians in the department and mentored and helped train new team members on technical troubleshooting processes. As a Jr. DIA Repair Technician, they also resolved internet outages and quality issues by troubleshooting Routers with Customers, Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) Service Providers and/or on-site contract technicians. Sean took charge of managing the team’s workload during one of the busiest shifts with a limited crew and mentored and help train new team members on technical troubleshooting processes. As a Data Repair Representative, they resolved internet outages and quality issues by troubleshooting Modems, DAUs, and Cradlepoints with Customers, Broadband Internet Service Providers and/or on-site Contract Technicians. Sean exceeded repair time and customer service expectations with their highest priority and most demanding customers and mentored and help train new team members on technical troubleshooting processes.
In 2016, Deery was a Delivery Specialist for EdgeRock Technology Partners and a Recruitment Consultant for ConSol Partners. From 2014-2016, they were a Solar Sales Advisor and Neighborhood Outreach Representative for Next Step Living. In these roles, they completed home assessments and procured quotes for home solar systems, advised homeowners on the benefits of solar and the purchasing tools that would help them start saving money right way with their investment, knocked on doors to let people know about the benefits of a home solar system and the financial incentives that could help them, and generated leads by scheduling appointments with homeowners for a solar sales advisor to assess their home and provide a quote for a solar system.
Sean Deery has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management and Marketing from Northeastern University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2014. Sean is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Data Science from Syracuse University, which they began in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications: Agile Software Development from LinkedIn in October 2022, Information Literacy from LinkedIn in August 2022, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020.
