Michael Cohn has extensive work experience in research, data analysis, and user experience (UX) roles. Their most recent position is as Deputy Director of Research: Data & Evaluation at Vote Rev (formerly VoteTripling.org), starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Quantitative UX Researcher at Google from November 2017 to September 2021. In 2020, they served as the User Experience Lead for Biden for President for a two-month period. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Data Scientist at Uber. In 2016, they also worked as a UX Freelancer, providing user research, UX/UI design, and usability consulting. Michael has a background in behavioral research and is open to consulting work and full-time opportunities. Before that, they were a student at General Assembly from November 2015 to March 2016. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at the University of California, San Francisco as a Research Specialist and Wellness Coordinator, where they conducted surveys, managed wellness programs, and created datasets. Michael also held a postdoctoral fellowship at the same university from 2008 to 2011.
Michael Cohn earned a PhD in Psychology from the University of Michigan from 2002 to 2008. Michael also obtained a BA in Psychology and Plan 2 from The University of Texas at Austin between 1996 and 2001. Additionally, they pursued User Experience Design at General Assembly from 2015 to 2016 and studied Health/Medical Psychology at the University of California, San Francisco from 2008 to 2011.
