Ceridwen Cherry has extensive experience litigating voting rights cases throughout the country, including challenges to voter identification and voter registration requirements. She is also a subject matter expert on the DMV and public assistance provisions of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). Most recently, Ceridwen served as Senior Staff Attorney in the Voting Rights Project at the American Civil Liberties Union. Previously, she practiced at two law firms in Washington, D.C., and was a law clerk to the Hon. Nathaniel M. Gorton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Ceridwen received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was an editor for the Michigan Journal of Law Reform, and a Master’s in Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she completed a thesis on voter ID laws. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.
