Diya Desai

Diya Desai is a dedicated student and leader actively engaged in various organizations and initiatives. Currently serving as a 2022 Youth Ambassador and volunteer for VoteRiders, Diya also holds multiple roles at Girls Who Code, including External Vice President and President, while contributing as a participant in FIRST. As the founder and president of We The People, a nonpartisan club aimed at involving youth in political discourse, Diya demonstrates a strong commitment to civic engagement. Additional experience includes a summer research position at UC Santa Barbara and participation in the UCSD COSMOS program focused on computers. Diya is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, expected to graduate in 2028, following a comprehensive educational background that includes Santa Clara High School and the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute.
