Paal Jahre Nilsen has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Paal Jahre started their career in 1990 as a Senioringeniør at DNV - Oil & Gas sector. Paal Jahre then worked at Abb Corporate Research Center from 1997 to 2004 as a Principal Research Scientist. From 2004 to 2005, they served as the Global Gas Manager at DNV - Oil & Gas. In 2005, they joined Aibel as a Principal Scientist until 2008. Paal then worked at Cambi Group from 2008 to 2018, where they held the role of VP Technology Development. Currently, since 2018, they are working at Scanship as the VP Innovation.
Paal Jahre Nilsen pursued their education at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1983 to 1992, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mekanikk.
