Cécile Monat

Cécile Monat has a diverse work experience in the fields of science and research. Cécile began their career as a Ph.D. student at IRD from July 2013 to November 2016. Cécile then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at IPK Gatersleben from January 2017 to February 2019. Following that, they joined INRAE as a Postdoctoral Researcher from March 2019 to February 2021. Cécile then worked at Adecco as a Project Manager in Bioinformatics Research from March 2021 to May 2021. Cécile later joined Voxe in November 2022 as a Business Angel, where they contribute to empowering millennial women through providing information and online training. Currently, they are working at Syngenta as a Senior Scientist since September 2021.

Cécile Monat completed their education in a chronological manner. Cécile first obtained a Bachelor's degree in genetics and bioanalysis from Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont-II) - Clermont-Ferrand, starting in 2008 and ending in 2011. Cécile then pursued a Master's degree in genetics and physiology with a focus on analysis and data sciences modelisation at the same institution from 2011 to 2013. Finally, they earned a Ph.D. from the University of Montpellier between 2013 and 2016. Cécile'sdoctoral research involved the construction of a new methodology for pan-genomics analysis on African rices.
