Christine Wells Smith

Christine Wells Smith has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Christine is currently the Director of Channel Partnerships at EnGen, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, Christine worked as an Academic Associate at Arizona State University, starting in September 2016.

From January 2019 to October 2020, Christine served as the Senior Director of Professional Learning and Research at K12 Insight. Christine also held the role of Director of Research at K12 Insight from November 2016 to January 2019.

Before joining K12 Insight, Christine worked for School District 33 in West Chicago, IL. Christine was the Director for Teaching and Learning from July 2014 to July 2016, and prior to that, they served as the Assistant Director of Learning from August 2011 to July 2014.

Christine's earlier experience includes positions at Plainfield Community Consolidated School District #202, where they held the roles of Principal, Assistant Principal, and Dean of Students from August 2006 to August 2011. Christine began their career in education as a Teacher at Chicago Public Schools from August 2001 to August 2006.

Christine Wells Smith has a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Fine Arts, and Cultural Studies from Northern Illinois University. Christine also holds a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the same institution. In addition, they have a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Concordia University. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Theatre/Theater and Education from Drake University. Christine also participated in a semester abroad at the University of London, focusing on Theatre.

Furthermore, they have obtained several certifications. Christine holds a Master of Arts in Administration in the field of Administration. Christine also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts certification in Theatre. Additionally, they have obtained endorsements in various specialty areas including Elementary/Middle School (Theatre, Speech, Language Arts, ESL, Gifted and Talented). Lastly, Christine has been awarded National Board Certification in Early Childhood/Generalist by the U.S. Department of Education.
