Derek Chen

Derek Chen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance industry. Derek began their career as an Analyst at Bank of America in 2003 and worked there until 2006. Derek then moved on to Barclays Capital where they held the position of Director - Securitized Products Strategy. Derek'sresponsibilities included conducting research, developing trading strategies, and advising clients on investment decisions. In 2012, Derek joined Voya Investment Management as a Senior VP, Senior Portfolio Manager. Derek'smain role here was to trade and manage portfolios of mortgage-backed securities.

Derek Chen earned a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Florida from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed an M.S. in Operations Research from the same university from 1999 to 2002. Derek also holds a B.M. in Industrial Engineering and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, where they studied from 1994 to 1999.
