Holger Patzke

Vice President, Neuroscience And Head Of Translational Biology at Voyager Therapeutics

Holger Patzke has a strong background in neuroscience and drug discovery. Holger began their career at Harvard Medical School as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 1999 to 2004. Following this, they joined FORUM Pharmaceuticals in 2004 and held various roles, including Principal Scientist and Senior Director of Biology, until 2016. In 2016, Patzke joined Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. as the Senior Director of Neuroscience, and later advanced to the position of Vice President, Neuroscience. In 2020, they became the Vice President, Neuroscience, and Head of Translational Biology at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. Throughout their career, Patzke has demonstrated expertise in neuropharmacology and in vitro biology.

Holger Patzke pursued their education in the field of neurobiology and developmental biology. Holger obtained their Ph.D. from Goethe University Frankfurt, specializing in neurobiology and developmental biology from 1996 to 1999. During this time, they also conducted Ph.D. research at the Max-Planck-Institute for Brain Research.

Earlier, Holger Patzke completed their Master's degree in neurobiology, biology, biochemistry, genetics, and zoology from Goethe University Frankfurt from 1990 to 1995. Holger further engaged in Master's research at the Max-Planck-Institute for Brain Research, although the specific duration of this research is not provided.
