Mathieu Nonnenmacher

Mathieu Nonnenmacher is a seasoned professional in the field of gene therapy with extensive experience at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. since January 2015, where Mathieu holds the position of Vice President - Gene Therapy and has also served in roles such as Vice President of Capsid Discovery, Director of Vector Engineering, Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist. Mathieu's expertise lies in the development of effective vectors for treating brain-related diseases, bolstered by a strong background in therapeutic gene transfer vectors derived from Adeno-Associated Viruses (AAVs) and lentivirus-mediated gene transfer. Prior to their tenure at Voyager, Mathieu Nonnenmacher was a postdoctoral researcher at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, focusing on gene therapy in cardiology, and a consultant at Transgene. Mathieu's academic foundation includes a PhD from Institut Pasteur, where research was conducted on Papillomavirus under the supervision of Gerard Orth.
