David Garfinkel

David Garfinkel is the current Vice President of Operations at Voyant Photonics. Prior to their current position, Garfinkel worked as an HR Consultant for Knewton from September 2018 to August 2019. From April 2011 to December 2016, they were the Head of HR for Knewton, Inc.

Garfinkel has extensive experience in the field of human resources. David has been with Knewton since its inception, and has helped the company grow from a small startup to a technology pioneer that is recognized by the World Economic Forum in Davos. David has also helped Knewton become one of the top 25 "Best Places to Work" according to Crain’s New York Business.

Garfinkel is a highly skilled and experienced human resources professional who has helped Knewton attract and retain some of the best talent in the industry. David has also been instrumental in helping Knewton secure funding from high-profile investors such as Peter Thiel, Reid Hoffman, and Pearson.

David Garfinkel has a Bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo. David also attended Niskayuna High School.

David Garfinkel reports to Peter Stern, CEO. They work with Chris Phare - Co-Founder & Chief Science Officer, Steven Miller - Co-Founder & CTO.
