Gill Tsouri

CTO & Co-Founder at VPG Medical

Gill Tsouri received his BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ben-Gurion University (Israel) in 2000, 2004 and 2008 respectively. His research encompassed Wireless Communications and Signal Processing. Major contributions from his graduate research have been adopted by industrial partners. From 1998 to 2002 he was with Yitran Communications, where he developed cutting edge power-line communication technologies that later became the industry standard. His past entrepreneurship experience includes developing a novel drip irrigation technology and licensing it to Rivulis Irrigation (a leading global company in the field). In September 2008, He joined the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he established the Communications Laboratory in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. He is now an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering with research interests in wireless body area networks, biomedical signal processing and wireless physical layer security. He leads basic and applied research projects funded by NIH, Google, Welch-Allyn, General Motors, Xerox, nBn Technologies and Rochester General Hospital.
