Marco Koppelaar

Marco Koppelaar has extensive experience in the maritime and energy sectors, currently serving as the BQS Operations Manager at VPS since January 2012. Marco's previous roles include BQS Operations Supervisor, BQS Quality Supervisor, Senior Surveyor, and Bunker Quantity Surveyor, where responsibilities focused on bunker quantity surveys and fuel oil system sampling. Prior to joining VPS, Marco dedicated over a decade to the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Marinier der eerste Klasse and completing various internal and external training programs in areas such as combat life saving and vehicle operation. Educational qualifications include a HAVO degree from Develsteincollege and specialized courses in fiscal metering of natural gas and fuel management from DNV GL, along with a KAM Coordinator certification from Flex Academy.
