Mike Korcha has worked in the software engineering field since 2012. Mike began their career as a Bio-Image Intern at UC Santa Barbara, where they maintained and extended an automated plant identification system and improved algorithms to improve identification speed and accuracy. In 2013, they worked as an Independent Contractor for Nano Engineered Applications, Inc., developing applications for Android devices and Java-compatible computers. That same year, they also began working at California State University, San Bernardino as a Mobile Application Developer and Team Lead for the student mobile application development team. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer for the NICE Challenge Project, designing and building user- and admin-facing features to interact with and manage the platform. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at San Bernardino Community College District, developing course material for and teaching the CS 190 (Programming in C++) and CS 265 (Data Structures and Algorithms in C++) courses. Since 2019, they have been employed as a Software Engineer at VS Media.
Mike Korcha received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from California State University-San Bernardino in 2014. Mike then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2016.
