Pavel Matejka is a highly experienced professional in the field of physical chemistry, currently serving as a professor and Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Prague since January 2003. Additionally, Pavel holds the position of prorektor pro vnější vztahy a komunikaci at the same institution and has been a professor at Vysoká škola chemicko-technologická v Praze since November 2008. Pavel's leadership experience extends to the Ioannes Marcus Marci Spectroscopic Society as Rektor from June 2011 to January 2024 and as scientific secretary for the Spectroscopic Society IMM from 2005 to 2009, where Pavel also served as Chairman of the Molecular Spectroscopy Section. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and an RNDr. in Physical Chemistry from Charles University, alongside secondary education at Gymnázium Václava Hlavatého Louny.
