David Schmidt

David Schmidt has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. David began their career in 1990 as an Electrical Engineer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where they managed hardware engineering projects for satellites. In 1993, they joined IBM as a Technical Marketing Specialist, providing technical sales and consulting expertise to Fortune 500 clients.

From 1994 to 1997, Schmidt worked at Bear Stearns & Co. as a Vice President in the Information Services Department. David then transitioned to Viant, an internet strategy, design, and technology consultancy, where they served as an Engagement Manager until 2001.

In 2001, Schmidt founded OpenMusicProject.net, one of the first Web 2.0 communities for musicians. David then joined Ecast in 2003 as Vice President, leading product marketing, product management, and creative teams for the interactive place-based media network.

From 2008 to 2009, Schmidt worked as the Vice President of Product at NileGuide, overseeing product management for the consumer web travel planning site. David then joined Adobe in 2009 and held various roles including Senior Product Marketing Manager, Senior Technical Marketing Manager, and Senior Product Manager, where they played a significant role in promoting and developing Adobe's digital solutions.
