Tibor Szabo

Tibor Szabo, CISA, CRISC, is an experienced professional in the fields of information systems auditing and security management. With a current position as Head of IS Audit at VÚB banka since 2015, Tibor oversees risk-based IS audit strategies, audit planning, and team management. Prior to this, Tibor served in various roles at Tatra banka from 1999 to 2015, including leadership in facility management and IT security audit departments, focusing on audits, controls, and people management. Earlier experience includes serving as Security Manager at SCP, a.s. Bratislava, and as a Criminalist at the Presidium of the Police Force, specializing in cybercrime and copyrights. Tibor began a career in education as an Informatics Science teacher at the Secondary School of the Police Force. Educational credentials include an Engineer's degree from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and a school leaving examination in Automation from the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Bratislava.
