Tim Newman

Tim Newman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international development and partnership management. Currently serving as the Global Head of Business Pursuit at VSO since March 2016, Tim leads a team focused on increasing restricted funding aligned with organizational priorities and managing strategic relationships with the UK government. Previous roles include Head of the Technical Assistance Unit at The Commonwealth Secretariat, where significant achievements included transforming technical cooperation programs and managing a £20 million Institutional Capacity Development programme. Earlier career highlights feature management positions at Crown Agents in both Ethiopia and Albania, overseeing large-scale projects funded by international grants. Tim holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Kent and a BA (Hons) in Languages, Economics & Politics from Kingston University.
