Andy Barker

Andy Barker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in education, social mission strategy, and program management. Currently serving as a Program Officer at the Vermont Community Foundation since September 2022, Andy previously held the position of Project Director at Burlington City & Lake Semester from January 2017 to August 2022, where leadership included creating and implementing an immersive semester program for high school students. Andy's role at Ben & Jerry's from May 2005 to August 2016 involved cross-functional collaboration to advance the company's core values in areas such as fair trade and social equity, and included co-creating a global Social Mission Strategy. Prior experience includes teaching high school Humanities and Math at The Gailer School and the Maine Coast Semester from 1993 to 2004. Andy holds an M.A. in American History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an A.B. in American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
